ok guys n gals my question to you is how do you transfer an image from your pc to material for detailed stitching like pinstriping or logos ??
I sometimes flip the image on the pc first then print out so its back to front then spray glue it to the back of the fabric and stitch straight on top of paper .
so what tips do you have ................... I was wondering if there was a method liker tattoo artists do with a printed out transfer
If you print out the design you can then put transfer paper under the design and use a tracing wheel to transfer the image to your material.
They are available at just about any sewing store for under $4.
I've been using a pounce wheel that I use to trace the design on my paper pattern which makes small holes in the paper pattern, then I use chalk to pounce the design onto the leather. Then I stitch like dot to dots.
I have been thinking about buying one of these projector scopes for this reason. I like that just by moving it closer or farther away you could adjust the projected size, and I also like that it would save huge on the whole pounce wheel time. Previously I printed pictures out and drew a 9 square grid then drew a grid on my material and just freehand copied the image with my silver pen.
